Buyer Beware
With bulldogs being one the top 10 most popular dogs, many scams from unscrupulous people have popped up. There are many reputable breeders in the Bulldog Club of Indiana and in the Bulldog Club of America. If you are looking for a puppy, please contact someone in the club or go to the referral section of the Bulldog Club of America web site.
The Bulldog Club of Indiana will continue to post scams on this page.
- Beware of people emailing you about puppies asking vague questions and saying "they need to place some puppies" without giving you their names in the email.
- Beware of people wanting to trade bulldogs with you to "bring in some new blood" into their line.
- Beware of anyone selling bulldogs who does not belong to a breed club or a local kennel club. People who really love the breed will belong to a club and will be breeding for the love of the dog. Don't be afraid to ask for references.
- Beware of breeders who are overly concerned about money. A good breeder will be mostly concerned for the puppies welfare and appropriateness of the potential home.
